Samsung is likely to be getting serious with the updates. The Galaxy J4 a budget entry smartphone released in 2018, and did come with Android 8 out of the box. But expecting a second major update on a budget smartphone is well beyond imaginations.
As said in the title, the Galaxy J4 got the Android 10 update along with One UI 2.0. Not even the core build but complete One UI 2.0! If you consider the specifications, the J4 comes with a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display woth a 720p resolution. It has a typical design we used to see before 2018, that is a recent button, a clickable home key and a back key. It has Exynos 7570, which is a budget-oriented processor, and does lags on heavy load.
But it is good to see that Samsung is taking care of its older budget smartphones now.
The update brings July Patch update with a firmware version J400FXXU6CTH1, and weighs around 1GB in download.
