Google has started rolling out an update to Google Maps, which shows traffic lights status on Maps. Although this was being rolled out only to selective users, now, it’s being widely rolled out to every user.
This functionality doesn’t require any manual switch to turn on but is from the server-side. This feature shows on its own. However, there is not much of a change after the trials, such as the icons of the traffic light remains the same as it was before. Interestingly, the icons adapt according to the map size currently on display.
As of now, the feature is rolling out in the US. Later on, it will start to rollout worldwide, in phases.
