Samsung is yet to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 2 on September 1st, but someone already got their hands on the specifications! The specs list gives us a glimpse of how the smartphone is going to be.
WinFuture has successfully got their hands on the specifications of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 2.
Processor and Display.
For the processor, Samsung is going with the Snapdragon 865+ SoC, along with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. For storage, Samsung is giving 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
In terms of display, it’s going to be a 60Hz display on the outside. You will get a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED panel, however, the resolution is a bit bummer here. The overall resolution will be 2260×816 on the outside. Yes, the out display is going to be larger this time. This is also HDR10+ certified.
The inner display is going to be a massive 7.6-inch diagonally and is a 120Hz panel. It will have a pixel count of 2208×1768. As usual, Samsung will equip their Ultra-Thin Glass here, however, for additional protection, a plastic protective film is also used.
Camera, and Battery.
The camera on the backside is going to be a triple-camera setup, which will look just like the Note 20 Ultra camera setup. This camera module will include a 12MP Wide-Angle shooter, which is the main camera here. the second one is a 12MP Ultra-Wide sensor, and third one is going to be a 12MP telephoto camera with OIS. You can record 4K videos and Slo-Mo videos at 960fps.
There will be two selfie cameras. One on the outside, and one on the inside. Both have same specifications. Both cameras are 10MP sensors, can shoot [email protected], can use HDR10+. various features include Hyperlapse, Night Mode, and Bixby Vision.
The battery on the device is not going to be that massive. Samsung is providing a 4,500mAh battery, along with 25W of fast charging, 11W of wireless charging and Wireless power share. As usual, you will get speakers tuned by AKG out of the box.
On the OS front, you will get Android 10 out of the box, with OneUI 2.5 on the top alongwith features exclusive to foldable smartphones.
