Google yesterday announced that they will be launching the next flagship, the Pixel 5 at the end of this very year. Alongside, they have also planned that they will launch the 5G variant of the Pixel 4a as well. However, there is not much known about the Pixel 5.. But this very leak can be the starting point for the stream of details that are yet to come later this yer.
The leak suggest that the Pixel 5 will come with a 120Hz refresh rate display. Yes, a 120Hz refresh rate display. And the display will come from Samsung Displays and BOE as well. The display will be a larger 6.67-inch display, and supposedly OLED panel.
The leak comes from Display Supply Chain Consultants Ross Young.
Last year, the Pixel 4 came out with a 90Hz refresh rate display, however, the mid-range devices still have those 60Hz displays. Also we can assume that Google will go with the punch-hole display given that the display is going to be a larger one this time?
Its worth noting that Google is going 5G this time, and this was clear with a recent leak from Ishan Agarwal that suggested that Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G are coming later this year.
