Xiaomi launched its Black Shark 3S today, offering some minor upgrades to the recently launched Black Shark 3. The Black Shark 3S is the answer (is it?) to Asus’s ROG Phone 3 and other gaming-centric smartphones.
The Xiaomi Black Shark 3S comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, and the low latency of 17ms. On the processor side, Xiaomi is, however, still sticking with Snapdragon 865 SoC. And it does comes with a massive 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage onboard.
The smartphone comes with a triple-camera setup, which includes a massive 64MP sensor, along with a 13MP ultra-wide, and a 5MP depth sensor. On the front-side, Xiaomi has provided a 20MP camera. On the battery side, the Black Shark 3S comes with a massive 4,720mAh battery with 65W fast-charging. Another magnetic port comes with a support of 18W fast charging as well.
The other important features on this smartphone are touch-sensitive shoulder buttons and a 3.5mm headphone jack. For software, Xiaomi is pushing Android 10 with Joy UI 12 on top, out of the box.
The Xiaomi Black Shark 3S will be available in Skyfall Black and Crystal Blue, and will be available in China for 3,999 Yuan for the base 12/128GB. On the other hand, the 12/512GB variant will be available for 4,799 Yuan. The sale will begin on August 4th.
