Oppo A72 was launched back in April. This handset was powered by Snapdragon 665 chipset which supported only 4G connectivity. Today OPPO launched a 5G variant for this model and here’s everything you need to know about it.
Oppo A72 5G will be powered by Dimensity 720 SoC which will support the 5G connectivity. As per the display goes, both variants of the smartphone feature a 6.5″ FullHD+ LCDs display. The only difference is that the 5G variant feature a 90Hz panel while the 4G variant has the 60Hz panel.
The A72 5G has three color variants namely Neon, Oxygen Violet, and Simple Black. This 5G variant is available in only one memory configuration that is 8GB Ram with 128G internal memory.

The A72 5G has a triple camera setup in the rear end with 16MP as the main camera, 8MP for ultra-wide, and 2MP for depth. It has an 8MP front-facing camera. The camera setup is quite a downgrade to what the 4g variant offers. It features a quad camera setup of 48MP main, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth while 16MP for the front-facing camera.
The battery capacity meets a similar fate too. While the 5G variant only has a 4,040mAh battery, the 4G variant has a larger 5000mAh battery. BOUt will support 15 W charging.
Apart from this, some other features of the 5G variant include the side-mounted fingerprint reader, Android 10-based ColorOS 7.2, Dirac 2.0 sound enhancements, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The A72 5G is available for sale at their Chinese website and is priced at ¥1899.00
