Instagram Reels is a brand new way of making fun and entertaining video content from Instagram Posts. After being first tested in Brazil, the newest video function from Instagram is now being rolled out in Germany and in France. After months of early access in countries like Brazil, France , Germany and India, Instagram ‘s response to TikTok, Reels, is finally coming to the US.
This is also going to other nations, but they have not been identified by the spokesperson. NBC reported that Reels would receive “more than 50” markets, including the Us, Japan and Mexico.
It comes just days after Tik Tok was blocked by the Indian Government along with 58 other Chinese devices. Similar to TikTok, users are able to film and post 15-second video clips set to music to Stories. Users can select from a vast music archive, borrow audio from a separate video or record their own original soundtrack.
However, instagram doesn’t automatically go all-in on Reels, according to TechCrunch. Reels will live inside Instagram Posts, where, when uploading, it will be one of several choices. Yet videos, as they do on TikTok, won’t automatically hang around until producers expressly add them to their profile.
