Spotify announced last November that it was exploring music-synced, real-time lyrics in select markets. The business will announce the launch of its latest lyric app tomorrow in 26 regional markets spanning South East Asia, India and Latin America. This will be the first time that lyrics are sold in 22 of these 26 countries, as in the past only Thailand, Vietnam , Indonesia and Mexico had any sort of lyric support from other providers.
Musixmatch is making this feature possible as they sign a new agreement with Spotify. During the Beta Testing period, the Canadian users were able to use it, but unfortunately they won’t have the access to it anymore.
The Countries who will be able to use this feature are Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, El Salvador, Uruguay, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
Spotify mentions that it’s global partnership with Musixmatch will help in providing the largest collection of lyrics and it’s translations the users.
