There is quite a bit delay in the Pixel 4a launch due to the global pandemic. Several leaks and tips are pointing towards a July launch but might come to the market not soon before October this year. It might be possible that during the launch, the naming changes to something else?
The first tip comes from Jon Prosser who tweets that the smartphone launch has been further delayed to July 13th, with the market launch in October this year. Other than that, the Barely Blue colo is not going to launch, but the Black variant will come to the market in the month of October. However, no one knows exactly how he got hands on to the information available on Google’s system. may be someone from the team?
Another rumor comes from Ishan Aggarwal. he says that the Pixel 4a might turn out to be the Pixel 5. And might launch in the month of October. Pixel 5 might contain only 3 devices in the series, and that’s all. Although he clearly mentions that there is no solid information to back his tweet, but if the smartphone launches this late, the naming is sure to change.
Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide, the smartphones companies are seeing a lot less sales this year already. After that if Google decides to announce a device in the month of July and launch in the month of October doesn’t make a complete sense. However, if they decide to launch a new device in October, be its a Pixel 5, can happen.
