Sony today announced the release date of the Xperia 1 II, but they totally messed up with the pricing of the device.
The Xperia 1 II will launch on June 1st this year, however, the buyers can get it on July 24th only. Sony has messed the price, however. The previous device, the Xperia 1, was around $999 when launched. However, this Mark II device has a straight $200 raised up from the original one. This time, the Mark II will cost you a whopping $1,199 at launch.
To make up with the price, Sony is offering a pair of Sony WF-1000XM3 headphones. This scheme is valid only for those who pre-order the device before June 28th. However, Sony is also planning to launch the WF-1000XM4 model, which means they are trying to get rid of the current stock before the launch.
For specifications, the Xperia 1 II will come with Snapdragon 865 SoC, along with 5G, 8GB RAM, and 256GB of storage. The battery inside the device is a 4,000mAh battery. It also has a 6.5-inch OLED 4K display as well. There are 3 cameras in the back. The main camera is a Wide 12MP camera, an Ultra-Wide 12MP camera, and a 12MP telephoto camera as well. A fourth sensor is a ToF sensor. On the front you get an 8MP camera. The phone also supports 21W Fast charging and has 12W of wireless charging capability as well.
There are two color options: Black and Purple.
