Samsung is planning to launch a Samsung Pay Debit Card this summer. The card will work with the a cash management service alongside a finance service called SoFi so as to bring new services to the users.
Samsung is currently planning to launch the debit card this summer. We will get to know about the card in the coming days. As per Sang Ahn, GM of Samsung North America, Samsung is:
busy developing a mobile-first money management platform over the past year, and in 2020, Samsung Pay is evolving from being a rewarding way to shop and pay, to also being a rewarding way to manage your money
It has been over 5 years since Samsung Pay made its debut. And since then, the Platform has grown enough to reach in 27 markets as of 2020. The Samsung Pay came to South Korea in August 2015, and then debuting in the USA 2 months later.
Although, the Samsung Pay Debit Card is announced in the USA, it is yet to be seen if the card is launched in other countries or is only meant for the US market.
