Since the beginning of Xiaomi, we haven’t seen any flagship from them in India. Although most of the world does get the flagships, however, in India, we only get the cheap smartphones. In fact, Xiaomi is the first Chinese brand to bring good hardware in an affordable price in India. This time, they are planning something else. Xiaomi is planning to launch the Mi 10 Series in India.
Although, the series was going to be on pre-orders on March 31st this year, but due to nationwide lockdown in India, the date has to be postponed.
Following the new guidelines during the lockdown, Xiaomi is setting up a new launch date. The Mi 10 will come to India on May 8th. The official date is announced from their official Twitter handle.
Since the country “lacks special facilities” to make these devices, Manu Jain tweeted that Xiaomi will import all of these Mi 10 Series devices. This will lead to a different cost model, which will probably make the device costlier, just like it happens with Apple devices.
However, the pricing of the smartphones isn’t disclosed yet. But the prices can land between the OnePlus lineup most probably.
For comparison on how prices can be, you can expect Mi 10 will be available for €799, the Pro will be available for €999, where both of them will have only 8GB RAM and storage up to 256GB, in Europe.
In UK, only Mi 10 will be available for £699 for 8/128GB, whereas the 256GB variant will be available for £799.
