A Cuban tech channel recently shared the early pictures captured from the upcoming Pixel 4a smartphone. Julio Lusson from TechLike Plus is sharing these images on his YT channel as well as on his blog.
Let’s dive deep in, how the camera actually performs!
The 4a will come with a single camera, which has a Sony IMX363 12.2MP sensor, having an aperture of f/1.7. Whereas the front camera is an 8MP IMX355 sensor. It is interesting to note that the IMX363 is the same camera sensor used on Pixel 3, 3a, and 4. On the other hand, the IMX355 is the same camera used as a front facing camera for the Pixel 3 and 3a.
According to both the apps, the main camera has a view angle of 65.6° whereas the front facing camera has a view angle of 72.4°. Next is the availability of EIS and OIS. The front facing camera will have EIS, however, the rear-facing camera will come with both EIS and OIS.
Google Pixel 4a camera samples
Here are some sample shots from the smartphone. Do note tha I will be sharing a few of them, but XDA have all of them. I will give a link in the article to their post directly.
Pixels are known for their amazing Portrait shots. When enabled, Portrait mode zoom in a bit, making users stand a bit farther for a better and amazing bokeh effect. Just like any Pixel, 4a can take Portrait shots using the single camera.
With HDR+, you can get a highly dynamic exposure, with continuous shots on Google Camera, you get the sharpest image possible. The way it does is, it first takes some continuous shots, then combine all the sharpest images into a single image, giving you every detail in the single image possible.
Just like the Pixel 4, the 4a comes with the full support of Astrophotography. In this, you capture the night sky with every possible galaxy/ star in a single image. The images come in such a way that you can capture entire Milky Way Galaxy in a clear night sky.
Low Light Shots
Pixels have an amazing Night Shot mode. The images come out clear, crispy even in the dark night. 4a is not behind.
Pixel 4a – Zoomed Up!
Pixel 4 came with two cameras, out of which one is a telephoto camera. Which helps the phone to capture 2X optically and 8X digitally zoomed images. However, the 4a comes with only a single camera, so it takes the benefits of the Super Res Zoom, which gives clear 8X digital zoom capability.
These are just amazing, given that it’s a Pixel after all!
