Although OnePlus launched its 8-series flagships successfully earlier this month, the midrange option of the business – the OnePlus Z – is still to be seen. We have seen recent news that the tool is due to be unveiled in July and now we have our first supposed hands-on picture at True-Tech, thanks to the folks over.
The unconfirmed picture of the OnePlus Z above indicates what we have already seen in renders-the OnePlus is to feature a hole-punch, selfie camera-based within its flat, probably 90Hz AMOLED panel, which is supposed to be around 6.4 inches in height. The photo also indicates the mid-ranger, as seen on other recent OnePlus smartphones, will have a fingerprint sensor in-display.
The OnePlus Z was initially supposed to be released alongside the OnePlus 8 but was postponed due to difficulties in the business caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Its price is expected to start at £400 in the UK, with US costs estimated at about $450, making it a direct competitor of the newly launched iPhone SE and the upcoming Pixel 4A.
OnePlus Z will use a 90Hz refresh rate OLED panel as last year committed by the company to use it as a minimum in future products. The screen size should range from 6.4 to 6.5-inch. It is also expected to carry 1000L chipset MediaTek Dimension, 8 GB RAM, and 128 GB ram. We foresee a triple camera setup with a 48MP main shooter right around the back. The phone is likely to ship on top of Android 10 with Oxygen OS, and a 4,000 mAh battery.
