Google has just launched its Pixel Buds App on the Play Store.
B&H Photo was the first to mention that the Google Pixels are available for pre-order in February, followed by another retailer earlier this month. The listings were premature in both cases and were quickly deleted. Following the launch of the companion app this morning, B&H has listed the new Google Pixel Buds for purchase.
The device is listed as “New Item – Coming Soon” on the website, but you get the option to Add it to the Cart and purchase it. The shipping date is still unknown for the $179 Wireless Earbuds by Google.
The second generation of Pixel Buds carries 12 mm dynamic speaker drivers, two microphones (per bud), and resistance to sweat/water. There are five hours of listening time on a single charge, while 24 hours are given in the egg-shaped charging case. Wireless charging supports USB-C, a huge improvement over the previous bulbous and fabric-covered case with its sleek box.
At this point, an official Google announcement on the availability for the new Pixel Buds should be imminent.
