LG has released a video on their new concept phone, Velvet, tagging it as a next-gen flagship. The new video showcases “not much” of the physical features of the upcoming smartphone by LG.
On the top, is how the camera is been designed. The new camera module on the LG Velvet is no where near the ones we see on current flagships. Instead, they are using the drop-style design. In this design, just like water drops falling from the tap gets smaller and smaller, but in an inverted form, in the same way, the camera is getting smaller. However, not all of them is the camera.
In the video, we can also see the color options, which will be available with the Velvet. Some of them have that beautiful gradient pattern.
However, LG is somehow making a cost-cutting in the internals. They will use an Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC, instead of top-of-the-line Snapdragon 865 or its variants. This is because of the pricing of the top-tier processor.
But, Snapdragon 765G SoC is still a high-grade, high-end processor in the 7xx line-up. And, it does have an integrated 5G modem. But it is a fact that it is going to be less powerful than 865 already. It seems that LG will price this smartphone relatively lower, thanks to their use of 765G.
