For a long time, Samsung Galaxy Buds have been missing the Active Noise Cancellation. However, on the other hand, Apple gave the feature on its recent AirPods Pro. In fact, Galaxy Buds + didn’t have that. It seems that AKG is bringing this feature on its N400.
The AKG N400 is now officially announced in South Korea. There are 8.2mm drivers with an impedance of 16 ohms, hearing frequency ranges from 10Hz to 20kHz. The wireless earphones have a sensitivity of 96 dB.
The earphones have Bluetooth 5.0, which brings supports for AAC and SBC audio codec. This is going to be the first wireless earphones from Samsung to bring ANC. It also includes a bunch of ear tips, along with the Comfy foam tips. The ANC in the earphones is perfect to block all the ambient noise around you. This can be controlled using the AmbientAware feature, and TalkThru will allow you to know what is actually going around you.
There are two microphones in each of the earbuds, also bringing clear audio calls using beamforming technology by AKG. There are touch controls at the backside of each earbud for music and volume controls, and even summon your favorite AI with the same.
The earbuds are IPX7 rated, which means, these are sweat-resistant, and will not damage even if workout pretty hard. The battery life of AKG N400 goes around 6 hours in a single charge, and 5 hours if ANC is on. The buds are charged using a USB Type-C cable which attaches to the case of the buds or wirelessly.
AKG N400 – colors and pricing.
There are three color options available – black, silver and navy. The navy has gold on the touch side. These are available for around KRW 230,000 or $190, which is a bit extra from the Galaxy Buds+ but does come with additional features.
