Google is planning to launch the Play Pass service in India soon. This service allows you to use apps for free, be it paid or free, ad-free for a charge. The charge isn’t so high as of now.
The Google Play Pass comes for $4.99 a month in India, however, this charge might change in the coming days, as it is still under testing. Just like I mentioned in the Google Play Points article, there can be some testing going on. Although, Google hasn’t posted about this as of now. As you can see, clicking on the Start trial throws an error.
Google promises 30 days of the free trial, after which you can pay $5 every month. The apps and games will have no ads at all, you will have no in-app purchases, and over that, you get access to new apps every month. You can also add up to 5 family members at no extra cost.
But, just like YT Music, the pricing for the Indian Market will change. The price of YT Premium begins from $11.99, However, in India, it’s around $1.71 (according to recent USD-INR conversion). So, when the feature rolls out in mass, it will change.
But, do you think, people will pay?
