Among all the Xiaomi smartphones, these is only one handset runs on stock, Android operating system, and therefore expected to get updates. However, this is been the case with its Android One handset— Mi A3 — as its users have been waiting for the latest.
Now, it seems the company has finally heard the Mi A3 users’ demands and started rolling Android 10 on their handsets. According, to an official blog post, the latest operating system version. Being rolled out with the March update via OTA update.
Calling it a partial release, the update will come with version V18.104.22.168.QFQ MI XM and will come with the fix for the bug where the fingerprint sensor was not showing on the lock screen.
To recall, this is the bug that led to Xiaomi recalling the Android 10 update, that was rolled out at the beginning of the month as well. That wasn’t the only complaint that the Mi A3 users had when the update was rolled out.
On Twitter, users revealed four major issues they were facing including the one with the fingerprint sensor. These were phone, boot looping random calls, corrupted SD card or MicroSD bugs, camera app crashing in Pro mode.
The delay in the rollout of the Android 10 on Mi A3, was also a result of an extended shutdown caused by a coronavirus outbreak. as per Xiaomi India’s brand lead Sumit Sonal.
Xiaomi Mi A3 received, an official price cut in January this year. Both variants of Mi A3 became cheaper by Rs 1,000. Base varient offers 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, is now available. At Rs 11,999, while the 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
