A new update to the Google Home app brought a new feature. The new update has come up with a new feature all along. This feature called Nest Cam events comes in handy, only if you own Nest security devices.
The version of the app is bumped up to 2.19 and comes with some other improvements under the hood. The new update lets you check your Nest cam footage within the 30 days. It also lets you get the notifications right inside your Nest feeds. For doing so, you need to migrate your entire Nest creds to Google account, but not the vice-versa.
You can also go through your entire Nest security History under the Settings > Home History. In the new update of Google Home, you can also filter the content depending on what you want to see. Choose between several options like package delivery, familiar/unfamiliar faces, etc. On the sound side, you can check between smoke alarm, dogs barking, etc.
In the update, you can also see new visual improvements with the updated smart outlet’s icons. For example, if you control your bulb or other devices with a smart plug, you can just enable/disable with whatever name you can call, then you will see a bulb icon near it.
