ASUS ROG gaming phone 2 will launch the Android 10 system upgrade starting today according to official ROG Twitter. ASUS has finally launched the stable Android 10 update to ROG gaming phone 2 after 4 months of testing. Android 10 also has some more prominent features, in addition to minor tweaks and fixes: a regional dark mode theme, privacy improvements for location permissions, and gesture operations. OTA is currently rolling out the machine update, and it weighs a whopping 1 GB. So you’ll need to make sure you’ve got enough data and storage space on your devices before you start installing the update.

Asus did start Android 10 beta testing back in December for the ROG Phone II, but that version was plagued by several bugs including the inability to take calls in Game Mode and frequent SystemUI crashes when the icon manager was released. Once the official Android 10 update goes live, we’ll make sure you get updated.
You can download the zip file of the update from the Bios & Firmware page for the ASUS ROG Phone II.
