Oppo is working on a new smartwatch which will most likely take on Apple Watch’s likes. Oppo’s smartwatch has been spotted in a live image ahead of an official release. The new leak gives the smartwatch a much better look, and some interesting details about its features.
Oppo’s smartwatch is, as you can see in the image, identical to Apple Watch with a similar square-ish display, 3D curved glass, and leather straps. The sides have to have buttons that aren’t very protruding. The leak also reveals the smartwatch running on Google Wear OS. Earlier on a proprietary OS, the wearable was rumoured to run.

You can see the menu layout clearly in the picture which doesn’t give much more away. Nonetheless, it hint at potentially different UIs than we see on many other smartwatches compatible with Android. Other details are still scarce but the original post claims we’re going to see an ECG sensor, curved display, and competitive price.
There’s no doubt that the overall design resembles the Apple Watch, with the squared square shape and silicone band, although no side dial controls seem to be included. The rest of the internals are a complete mystery and, despite Oppo’s history of smartphone hardware innovation, may throw up some major surprises.
The OPPO Smartwatch is expected to launch on March 6, the date when the OPPO Find X2 and Find X2 Pro is also launching.
