Samsung today launched the successor to the budget range Galaxy M30s, the Galaxy M31 in India. The smartphone packs quite good features for the price.
The Galaxy M31 packs Exynos 9611, which is more than enough for the price range. However, the same SoC is being used since Galaxy M30s. Although not that old, but is a 10nm processor that is also battery efficient on the top.
The smartphone features a beautiful (as always) Super AMOLED display which also FHD+ and has a waterdrop notch. At the back, you will find the capacitive fingerprint scanner as well. Considering the price, the smartphone has a plastic body.
The main focus of the Galaxy M31 is the camera. It is the first budget-smartphone from Samsung featuring a 64MP sensor, along with a quad-camera setup.
The rear camera consists of a 64MP main camera, with an 8MP Ultra-Wide Camera, a Macro Camera, and a Depth Sensor, where both of them are of 5MP. At the front, you get a 32MP camera. Both front and rear cameras are capable of 4K recording. The rear camera also supports Super Slo-Mo as well.
There will be only two variants – 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB. A dedicated MicroSD card slot is also present, in case 128GB is not enough for you. The smartphone will come Android 10 with One UI 2.0 Core, where most of the base OS features are present, but not all benefits of the One UI is present.
For power, the smartphone comes with a massive 6,000mAh battery along with 15W of fast charge support, with USB Type-C. A 3.5-mm Headphone jack is also present.
