Huawei is about to launch what’s easily the most exciting new 2020 smartphone design so far, considering at least what we know about some of the other handsets due in the first half of the year. The Galaxy S20 will be recycling the S10/Note 10 design for another year, though Samsung is making a significant change in the design of the new phone series.
New images of the Huawei P40 Pro reveal that it will only have four cameras–a three-camera system, close to what we saw on the Huawei P40 yesterday, plus a smaller module that could be a 3D ToF sensor or a macro camera.
It seems that the camera at the bottom has a square lens–a symbol of a periscope zoom camera. Huawei has returned to a classic lens configuration for the Mate 30 Pro, but the new P40 Pro promises once again to push the envelope into zooming tech–10x optical zoom, reports say.
Unlike the P40, the Pro version allegedly has a curved display rather than a flat display. In addition to this slight tweak in style, the two flagship phones look almost identical.
In addition, 91Mobiles announced that they will launch both the P40 and the P40 Pro in five colourways. These include Black, Blush Gold, Deep Sea Blue, Silver Frost and Ice White. Both phones are said to be having a gradient finish.
The Huawei P40 Pro is seen upfront with a dual selfie camera setup. On the above-mentioned rendering of P40 we saw the same pill-shaped punch hole which was leaked yesterday.
