There’s a competition going on in the world of mobile, where telephone companies are tripping over to offer higher refresh levels for displays. 2019’s OnePlus 7 Pro and Google Pixel 4, among others, hit 90Hz, and a few gaming phones like the Asus ROG Phone 2 give 120Hz, but Xiaomi appears to be about to surpass that as it just showed off a 144Hz refresh.
This comes from a Weibo post where Xiaomi Vice President Lu Weibing showed the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi K30 5G, a phone running at several different refresh rates like 144Hz.
The phone should have a flat display without notches or cutouts, and curves to the edges, according to a previous leak.
There is also a possibility that the previous report was about the Mi 10 Pro version-Xiaomi’s president confirmed the existence of a Pro version so it would make sense that the standard one settles for a punch-hole design while the Pro model gets full-screen looks.
Nevertheless, the back configuration is in line with what we have seen so far, which means that there is a quad-camera setup.
