Microsoft Edge is now available as a stable browser for all users.

Back in 2018, Microsoft announced that they are rebuilding Edge browser using the Chromium Open Source Project. By the End of 2019, Microsoft did complete the development. However, the browser was still in the Beta phase. But now, it is available as a stable browser.

However, if you think installing another browser is no go, then wait for Microsoft to push the browser as a default on Windows in the coming future. Microsoft will start with the process in the upcoming Insider builds.

Highlights of the new Edge browser:

  • Now available on all your devices, and automatically syncs your passwords, favorites, and settings.
  • Edge and Bing give you the tools to protect your privacy online.
  • With brand new features like Collections and the most comprehensive set of built-in learning and accessibility tools on the web, designed to help you get things done.
  • You can earn rewards just for searching, with the new Edge & Bing.
  • With Internet Explorer mode, enterprise-grade security, and Bing, the new Edge is the only browser your organization needs.
