The team behind Nubia’s gaming brand is already working hard on their new device, the CEO announced on Weibo. He posted a screenshot, announcing the company would launch a phone supporting peak refresh rate of 144Hz, as well as other options such as 90 Hz and 120 Hz.
The executive also called the “Red Magic 5G phone” device, confirming that it will have next-gen connectivity, something that is not really a surprise given that all manufacturers are jumping on the hype.
Fei posted a screenshot of a mysterious 5g-enabled smartphone on Weibo, a Twitter response from China. The screenshot shows the smartphone can give users the option between 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz and 144Hz. We don’t know the smartphone’s name or specifications yet, but we do know the phone’s refresh rate would actually be higher than 144Hz.
But it shouldn’t come as a surprise when Nubia operates internally on a 144Hz screen smartphone. It’s fair to assume that Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 processor will likely power the unnamed gaming smartphone. The new chipset supports 144Hz refresh rate displays just for your knowledge.
