Samsung Galaxy Fold saw a shakey beginning with Bendgate 2.0 and a huge price tag. But during the CES 2020, Samsung’s CEO announced that they sold over 400,000 pieces of Galaxy Fold to date. Just after this announcement, Huawei came forward with their stats. They claimed that since the launch of Mate X back on November 15, they sold around 100,000 units per month. Stats like these show that there is actually demand for foldable phones in the market even though the price is really high and the tech is not perfect yet.
Meanwhile, the Chinese media outlet Sina wrote that Huawei has halved their shipping time, thus the new buyers of Mate X on the Friday flash sale would receive their exotic piece of a foldable smartphone by Tuesday rather than waiting for a week.
