It seems Samsung is now breaking its own rules of providing updates to older smartphones. As of the norms, Samsung only gives two major updates to most of the smartphones, even flagships. But it seems they are giving the third update to the Galaxy S8 pretty soon.
The smartphone initially launched with Android 7 Nougat in the year 2017. And the last major update for the smartphone is the Android 9 Pie. But when the One UI 2.0 was announced, and the S8 didn’t make it to the list. This made the users upset that their costly flagship isn’t getting the third major update. But Samsung did have other plans for the Galaxy S8.
In a report by WindowsUnited, Samsung Support confirms that Samsung is working on the update for the smartphone.
