Google Play is launching a new program of rewards, Googe Play Points, which will enable you to earn points for everything you do on the Google Play marketplace, from downloading new apps to subscribing to film, book and more services.
The program will also enable users to earn additional points by downloading “free apps and games featured” every week. The reward system launched in Japan in September 2018 for the first time and in South Korea earlier this year in April. Millions of users have signed up for the program, according to TechCrunch.
Signing up for Play Points needs only a few measures without any commitments or additional fees. Once you sign up, you’ll start earning reward points for all you do through Google Play, including renting movies, making in-app purchases, purchasing apps, and more.
The reward program has four tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Each new level offers better rewards, such as more points for each dollar you spend or the chance to get weekly prizes. Google is also running occasional Play Points promotions, and for now, they are offering triple points on everything you buy for the first week you’re part of the program.
