Samsung is right now releasing a small patch/update for the fingerprint sensor issue on the Galaxy S10 devices. This issue causes the phones to get unlocked by anyone’s fingerprints.
Right now, the update from Samsung is available in South Korea, for both Galaxy S10 and Note 10.
As per Samsung, you should not use any other Screen Protector or case, other than verified by Samsung for the smartphones with Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. In this case, the S10-series and Note 10.
As per the changelog, Samsung has clearly mentioned not to use any of the screen covers when registering fingerprints. Do download Samsung’s update on the respective devices when received to remain safe.
Due to this issue, many banks have withdrawn their app support for the Galaxy S10 and Note 10 already. We hope that they roll back their decisions.
