Today, Xiaomi launched its Redmi Note 8 Pro here in India. And the pricing is similar to what we have seen with most Redmi Note devices till date. And the specifications are damn good.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a 6.53-inch HDR-enabled FHD+ LCD display. Yes, HDR display, that too in this price. And for protection, you will get the Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the top. The processor here is a MediaTek G90T.
The rear camera is similar to the the variant launched in China. The rear camera features a 64MP Samsung ISOCELL GW1 sensor, with an 8MP wide-angle sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth-sensing camera.
The phone has a massive 4500mAh battery with support of 18W fast charging. A good thing to notice here is a dedicated microSD slot in the phone, thus giving us an option to go with dual SIM and SD card at the same time. Or not?
Although, the phone comes with MIUI 10 pre-installed, Xiaomi promises to ship MIUI 11 by the end of the year. The front camera is a 20MP selfie camera.
The base variant Redmi Note 8, is also made available in India.
