Starting today, your OnePlus 7 series will start getting stable Android 10 update starting today. However, the OnePlus is the first 3rd party OEM to distribute Android 10 update to its smartphones.
As per the forum update, OnePlus is starting to roll out Android 10 update along with OxygenOS 10.0 as well. The changelog of the update is as follows:
- System
- Upgraded to Android 10
- Brand new UI design
- Enhanced location permissions for privacy
- New customization feature in Settings allowing you to choose icon shapes to be displayed in the Quick Settings
- Full-Screen Gestures
- Added inward swipes from the left or right edge of the screen to go back
- Added a bottom navigation bar to allow switching left or right for recent apps
- Game Space
- New Game Space feature now joins all your favorite games in one place for easier access and better gaming experience
- Smart display
- Intelligent info based on specific times, locations and events for Ambient Display (Settings – Display – Ambient Display – Smart Display)
- Message
- Now possible to block spam by keywords for Message (Messages – Spam – Settings -Blocking settings)
However, the update is rolling out to a limited number of users as of now. And, if you think, VPN will help you download the update, well, there is no chance at all.
OnePlus 7 is the latest addition to the OnePlus smartphone series. However, its position might soon be taken by OnePlus 7T.
