Google Play Store is Getting a Visual Overhaul

The Google Play Store is getting a visual revamp and it looks clean. The new design is a part of Material Design. There’s less green and more white, brighter than ever!

Just like the iOS App Store, the new Play Store now has separate tabs for apps, games, books, and another for movies and TV shows.  Also, the tab bar now appears at the bottom. Google will now also show rounded rectangular icons just like the App Store does.

The new Play Store will also recommend apps specifically for users under “Recommended for you” section. Make sure you don’t confuse it with paid advertisements which are shown under a similar “Suggested for you”.

The revamped Play Store is now available worldwide. Some users even got it weeks before Google officially announced the news.
