It seems like there’s another hurdle with Huawei’s folding phone, the Mate X, as the company has delayed it once again. Huawei will now start selling the phone after November.
According to a report, the Mate X’s team wanted to replace the steel back of the phone with aluminum, which would have made it 20g lighter. But after testing, they found out that the aluminum wasn’t strong enough to replace steel.
Huawei also shed some light on the next iteration of Mate X at a press event held in Shenzhen today. The upcoming phone might feature a glass back instead of steel or aluminum.
