Google is Adding a One-tap SOS Feature to Some Android Devices

In case of an emergency, we always call our emergency service. But there are certain instances where people are not even able to dial in a number. For such cases, Google wants to make sure its users can request the help they need.

Google has introduced a new feature that lets you send automated voice messages with a single tap. When making an emergency call, it will let you tap “Medical,” “Fire” or “Police.” It will then send an automated voice message to the appropriate emergency service provider.

Your location and other information will also be sent over the air. It will also connect your call and allow you to speak (if you’re able to). This feature is first coming to the Pixel devices and will later join other Android phones as well.
