Google is now Replacing Android Voice Search with Assistant

Voice Search on Android was a thing before Google Assistant made its way here. However, over these years, Google has been working to make the Assistant better and now it feels that its time to replace the traditional voice search on Android.

The voice search was accessible using the Google app, Search bar widget, or app shortcut by tapping on the Microphone icon or by saying “Ok Google”. Now, the voice search icon is replaced by the G shaped Google Assistant icon.
