Moto has finally launched its budget-friendly smartphone of the year. The Moto E6 is an affordable smartphone by Moto. However, there are not many changes in comparison to E5.
The Moto E6 comes with a 5.5-inch HD+ Max Vision Display, with similar bezels like the E5. However, the processor segment comes with a pretty good upgrade. The E5 came with Snapdragon 425, however, the Moto E6 comes with the Snapdragon 435 SoC onboard.
For storage and memory, the device comes with 16GB onboard storage with 2GB RAM.
The battery, however, disappoints a little. Last year’s Moto E5 came with a massive 4,000mAh battery. But somehow this year, the Moto E6 comes with smaller 3,000mAh battery. But do note, that the battery is still removable.
In the camera, the rear-facing camera is a 13MP f/2.0 aperture lens, whereas the front-facing camera is a 5MP sensor.
The E6 uses a Micro USB port, instead of the Type-C. Also, the most disappointing is the missing fingerprint scanner. In the case of the E5, it had the fingerprint scanner.
But there is a water repellent coating on the phone, which is P2i nano-coating.
The device is available for $150 from Verizon starting today. However, Moto will sell the unlocked variant on various outlets like Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy.
