Asus has finally announced its second gaming phone, the Asus ROG Phone 2 today. And, the interesting thing about this smartphone is, it comes with Snapdragon 855+ SoC, which has not been launched yet. And theoretically and technically, the Asus ROG Phone 2 is the first smartphone to feature this chipset.
Considering it to be a premium end gaming smartphone, and along with SD855+, this ROG Phone 2 features a 120Hz refresh rate display.
This display, in comparison to the normal 60Hz display, will show you images at a very fast rate. Another interesting thing – the device comes with the industry’s highest battery capacity yet- 6,000mAh!
The device features 512GB UFS 3.0 storage with 12GB RAM. The front camera is a 24MP camera as well.
And back to the display, its not LCD at all! The panel here is the AMOLED panel, thus giving you those vivid and eye-catching visuals on the go. The display is also massive, around 6.59-inch.
The camera has also been upgraded here. In comparison to the last year model, the ROG Phone 2 comes with a 48MP camera instead of the 12MP camera. And, this premium smartphone features a 3.5-mm jack along with two USB ports. One for charging the device and other for attaching the cooler. On your face, Apple and others.
Being a gaming smartphone, you might have to pay a lot. ROG Phone 1 came for around $899 straight. But this year, the highest configuration will make you pay even more than the last time.
