The Pixel 3 XL did get some criticism for its runway notch last year. I think Google is now taking this a bit serious. The recent Google Pixel 4 XL render leaks shows that the device will have no notch at all.
However, the design will be somewhat similar to that of Pixel 4. The display is going to be larger at 6.25-inch. The device does have thin chin bezel, but larger forehead bezel. It is somehow similar to the Pixel 2 XL in a way.
And, there is an unknown sensor on the Google Pixel 4 XL, which can be the rumored dedicated facial recognition sensors. The facial recognition is supposed to be coming with the facial recognition inbuilt into the OS. Which is a good thing, since Apple has that from few years as of now.
The backside of the device might use the single color design, not like dual-tone design, we have seen till Pixel 3. Also, the device will come with USB Type-C and no headphone jack at all. Also, the camera design is going to be similar to Pixel 4.
