ASUS’s ROG series is all about gaming. With the launch of ROG Phone last year and the upcoming ROG Phone 2, ASUS is adding it’s part to a very selective and new market of smartphones.
The ROG Phone and other gaming smartphones like Xiaomi’s Blackshark have special features like liquid cooling, better thermal management to reduce throttling, RGB Lighting options. In a market where there are no headphone jacks, some of these even have two of them!
Anyway, ASUS is all set to bring in the next iteration of its gaming phone, the ROG Phone 2 on July 23. The news was posted by ASUS on Weibo, a Chinese social medium.
The phone will be featuring a 120Hz display this time and even support 30W fast charging. With that said, all the internals will be 2019 flagship ones. Which means a Snapdragon 855, at least 6GB RAM and some pretty cool RGB Lighting options as well.
