If you are a commuter who takes busses and trains for your journey, then there’s some good news for you. Google Maps will soon be able to predict how many people have boarded a bus or a train.
Google, since October, was asking commuters how populated their transit is. Google asked about how many seats were available or if it was standing room only, in order to identify which lines had the highest number of crowdedness reports.
With all these data, Google started to predict how populated a bus or train can be. The company also created rankings of the most crowded routes and stops around the world.
