Just in time before the Google I/O 2018, Google has updated the interface of Android Auto. The interface is now cleaner and easy to use than ever before.
Google has added a big navigation bar at the bottom. This tends to make navigation easier while driving. With this navigation bar, you can see ongoing turn-by-turn navigation directions, music/podcast controls, prompt the Google Assistant, and access your notifications.
Previously the nav bar was kinda static, but now it adapts to what you are doing. Notifications are no longer on the home screen. Google’s created a brand new page through which you can access and interact with them at any time.
Google has also added a cool dark UI along with colorful accents and a font that’s easier to read. Similarly, Google’s made sure that Android Auto can properly adapt to infotainment screens of all sizes.
The facelifted Android Auto is arriving this summer. We’ll update you whenever the update rolls out.
