Meizu releases 16s, a flagship device for half the price

Meizu is a Chinese smartphone brand unknown to many. They provide great devices in budget price, but not as popular as Xiaomi or Huawei in comparison. Today they have released a flagship device having all the parts a flagship device should have in 2019. Just like every other device, Meizu has focused a lot in the camera department. They have added Optical Image Stabilization or OIS to the smartphone, something Honor and Redmi does not provide. Well, it does not have periscope zoom but it provides 3x lossless zoom shots. Alongside the usual AI-powered scene recognition and Portrait mode, it also has a Dual Super Night Scene Mode that combines 17 images to produce better quality low light pictures.  Let’s take a look at the specification –

  • 6.2-inch (2,232 x 1,080) AMOLED display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 855
  • 6GB / 8GB RAM
  • 128GB / 256GB (exclusive to China)
  • 3,600mAh
  • 24W charge fast charging
  • 48 + 20 MP Rear Camera
  • 20 MP Front Camera
  • Android 9 Pie (Flyme 7.3)

Price of the device will start from $476  and will be available in Carbon Black, Pearl White, and Phantom Blue.
