Xiaomi’s sister brand – BlackShark has been on the front page of every leak for the past few weeks. The renders and the specification leaks have been following up recently with a ton of images coming through our way. As of today, the company has finally launched the device officially in China. The successor to the original BlackShark comes with better and upgraded specifications in order to up your game.

The Blackshark 2 sports a 6.39inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 19:5:9 aspect ratio and a 403ppi pixel density. The Blackshark 2 also packs in a new touch algorithm which is designed to reduce touch response time on the display to as low as 43.5milliseconds. Under the hood, the device comes with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, the chip making company’s latest and greatest. The device also comes with Adreno 640 GPU and up to 12GB RAM.
Further, the device comes with stereo audio accompanied by AI which helps in noise reduction. It also comes with a Magic Press feature which is similar to Apple’s 3D touch system which helps customize things around the UI with ease. Also, the device has an X-shaped antenna design and a dual-frequency GPS.
To the rear, BlackShark has adopted the trend by fixing a dual rear camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor accompanied by a 12-MP secondary sensor. The camera supports 2x optical zoom and as for the front camera, the device comes with a 20MP sensor at the front with an f/2.0 lens. The Blackshark 2 includes 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac and also supports Bluetooth 5.0. The device comes with USB-Type C port for charging and file transfers.
The Blackshark 2 is priced at CNY 3,199 in China which comes to roughly (Rs. 32,700 in India) for the base variant which carries 6GB/128GB. As for the higher variants, the price keeps adding on with the 8GB RAM variant costing CNY3,499 and the 12GB RAM variant costs around CNY 4,199.
Pre-orders for the Blackshark will start at 10 PM CST through the company’s official website, T-Mall, and JD.com.
