Today WhatsApp for iOS received its beta update in which you can authenticate your app with your Touch ID or Face ID. This feature comes with an app update to version 2.19.20.
This feature is quite handy when you have to hide your message from anyone out there sitting spying your phone. But, this feature will not lock your single chat, instead will lock the entire app. You can find this option under Privacy Menu inside Accounts settings.
The feature is quite nice, at least we do not need any third party lock to lock our app and conversations anymore. Moreover, the Android users will also get this feature in the coming days. The WhatsApp for iOS gets the update before the Android counterpart anyways.
