OnePlus is rolling out new Open Beta build updates to its four latest devices – the OnePlus 5,5T, 6 and the 6T. All four devices currently run on Android 9.0 Pie on the Open Beta program. The Open Beta program allows OnePlus users to try out new and experimental features. Users can try software versions before the stable update rollout.
Open Beta 2 and 4 is available to the OnePlus 6 and 6T respectively. However, OnePlus discovered a bug recently in the builds for the OnePlus 5 and 5T due to which the updates are currently paused. The update process will resume once they fix the bug.
The new update brings features like OnePlus Laboratory function for the OnePlus 6 and 6T, optimization for the screenshot function, support for quick reply in landscape mode, gaming mode enhancements and improvements to the clock.
OnePlus provide excellent software support. They also provide quick updates and are maintaining the best track record for doing so.
