Galaxy M20 and M10 launched, priced aggressively

At an event, Samsung launched the rumored Galaxy M-series in India. For now, only two devices from the lineup is announced. The Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M10 are the first smartphones to feature the Infinity-V display. That is the notched display from Samsung.

Also, the M20 is the first smartphone to feature Samsung’s newly launched Exynos 7904 processor, which is an Octa-Core processor. The processor features dual-core Cortex A73 which will have a clock speed of 1.8GHz, whereas the rest Hexa-Core Cortex A53 processor will clock at 1.6GHz. For graphics, you have Mali-G71 GPU.

The M20 is the first smartphone to feature a massive 5,000mAh, in entire Samsung lineup. With the larger battery, you also need a fast charger. Worry not, as Samsung is going to include a 15W charger in the box, that too with USB Type-C.

But in the field of Display, Samsung left a point. Instead of providing an AMOLED panel, Samsung has gone with an LCD panel. The Galaxy M20 also features a 6.3-inch FHD+ (1080×2340) display and will come with a dual-camera setup. Here, Samsung is giving an ultra-wide lens, along with the main camera. The main camera is a 13MP lens with an aperture of f/1.9, whereas the 5MP ultra-wide lens will have an aperture of f2.2. And, yes, the device will also have a live focus feature as well!

The front camera is an 8MP camera, with wait a second, an in display flash as well! The device also has facial recognition and fingerprint sensor at the back.

The device will be available in two variants, 3GB/32GB for ₹10,990 and 4GB/64GB for ₹12,990.

For colors, you have the option to choose between Ocean Blue and Charcoal Black.

The Galaxy M10 is a chopped off version of Galaxy M20, internally. The display here is a 6.2-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720×1520p. Also, Here Samsung used its all-time favorite Exynos 7870, which is ok-ish in the price segment in which Galaxy M10 is launched.

The rear camera setup is similar to that of Galaxy M20, however, the front camera is a 5MP camera.

The device has a 3,400mAh battery, with no fast charging and no USB Type-C as well. The device will be available in two variants: 2GB/16GB for ₹7,990 and 3GB/32GB for ₹8,990. For security, the device comes with Facial recognition.

For colors, you have the option to choose between Ocean Blue and Charcoal Black.

These two devices are targetting the Indian market, where Chinese players like Xiaomi are dominating.

Both these devices will be exclusive to Amazon India and Samsung Online store and will be on sale from Feb 5th, 12:00 pm IST.
