The Motorola G6 Plus was launched in India back in September 2018 and as spotted on the changelog of the company’s official website we might see the device receiving an Android Pie update anytime soon.
The device was launched alongside the Moto G6 Play and the Moto G6. The trio came with Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. The changelog was first spotted by a Reddit user and as seen on the official website the changelog shows that the update will also bring the December Android Security patch.
The update will bring to the Moto G6 Plus an improved Do not disturb mode, a revamped split screen page, better battery management, adaptive brightness, minor tweaks to the UI and new gesture navigation, Redesigned Settings app, better screenshots and etc.
Motorola is yet to confirm the update however we think that the update is around the corner and the users will start receiving it via OTA anytime soon.
The Motorola G6 Plus has a price tag of Rs. 22,499 in India and is one of the phones that compete against the likes of Honor Play, Poco F1 and many other devices in this price range.
In other news, Motorola P40 is expected to launch with a punch-hole display and will come with a whopping 48MP rear camera. Stay tuned to OneTechStop for more updates on the same.
