Samsung’s Always On Display feature is one of the best features of its devices. It lets you have a sneak peek of the time and other notifications on your phone. But with Android 9 Pie Beta update, it brings a better feature to the AOD, “Tap to Show’.
Tap to Show is a feature which lets you trigger the Always on Display by double tapping it, instead of keeping it “Always on”. There are times where you don’t want everyone to read your notifications but previously, you only had two options – either have the AOD always enabled or set to enable at scheduled times.
With Tap to Show, you now have the authority to check out your notifications and other data by just double tapping the screen. The AOD will go off after 30 seconds. This is a minor change but one that will prove to be very useful.
